ToriiPosted by Kodaker (Yokohama, Japan) on 5 May 2009 in Architecture. A Torii fronting Lake Ashinoko in Hakone. A Japanese gateway of light post-and-lintel construction designed usually with delicately curved lines and commonly built at the approach to a Shinto shrine. Any comments are welcome, good, bad or indifferent. My photography can always use improvement.

Bill Jennings from Bay Area Northern Calif, United StatesVery picturesque and stunning - one knows exactly where this is, once they have seen it. Well captured during early fall? 5 May 2009 5:02am |
